How it all started...
On Monday morning, August 29th, 2005, Hurricane Katrina barreled into Slidell, LA, destroying homes, building, offices, churches, and everything in its path. Our small congregation – then an outreach ministry in the Slidell Outlet mall – was part of that destruction. The five feet of water that flood our facility ruined chairs, equipment, electronics, and five years of sermon notes. Years of ministry – it seemed – had been washed away in a moment. It was like nothing this area had ever witnessed. We were devastated.

"God had other plans"
Many members of our congregation experienced the hardship that went along with flooded homes, destroyed memorabilia, job loses, and uprooted families. It you were in Southern Louisiana during that time, you understand what it was like. By all appearances, our ministry in Slidell was now at an end. God had other plans. In the following months, God began speaking to us about rebuilding the lives, homes, and the church fellowship that had been destroyed. At the time, it seemed like an impossible task. However, we were amazed at the faithfulness of God
From then to now....
He began to reconnect and re-establish the congregation, in spite of the odds. For us, it was confirmation that God’s hand was on the church. So, we continued to rebuild. As a result, Crossfire Church was born. Since then, we have continued to grow. Since that time, God has blessed Crossfire Church more than we ever could have imagined! His love and favor abide. He has brought us a long way in a short period of time, as we have continued to grow numerically and spiritually.
