Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13
Our Philosophy of Biblical Womanhood
At Crossfire, we believe womanhood is a God-given calling , and it is full of purpose. It is not a social construct to be reinvented, redefined. It is not a thing to be escaped; instead, it is a design to be embraced with faith and joy.
Scripture presents femininity as both strong and tender; it is both courageous and nurturing. In a world that often downplays these qualities in women, we seek to recover a biblical vision of womanhood that honors God’s design and leads to lasting fruit.
For example, the Proverbs 31 woman is neither passive nor small in her impact. In fact, she is a force to be reckoned with, as she multiplies what God places in her hands—money, influence, and life itself. She takes what seems little and turns it into abundance. Her work blesses her household, and her children rise up and call her blessed. In the end, she leaves a legacy that outlives her. It is a high calling.
Our culture preaches to women being a wife or a mother is secondary or burdensome. This is not true. Scripture shows that being a wife, a mother is powerful..... raising children shapes the next generation, and is one of the primary means that God is advancing His kingdom in the world. Through childbirth, nurture, and discipleship, women participate directly in God’s design to multiply life and faith in the world. (Click here for "Importance of Mothers")
Biblical womanhood calls women to lean into their femininity—not as weakness, but as strength uniquely designed by God to cultivate, protect, and bring forth life.

How We Disciple Women
Women’s discipleship at Crossfire is woven into the life of the church through worship, teaching, and community. We also create intentional ways where women can be encouraged, sharpened, and rooted in truth together, with other women.
This includes:
* Periodic women’s gatherings for prayer, teaching, and encouragement
* One-on-one discipleship and mentoring
* Opportunities to serve and build alongside other women in the church
Discipleship is not a moment or a program, but a faithful walk over time—where wisdom, holiness, and love are formed through everyday obedience.

Why Women's Ministry Matters in Slidell
Strong families and healthy churches depend on women who are grounded in Christ and confident in their calling. Women shape the spiritual climate of homes, friendships, and communities in quiet but powerful ways.
When women embrace God’s design—faithfully stewarding what He has entrusted to them—they multiply life, stability, and hope. Our desire is to help women know Christ deeply, walk faithfully in their calling, and live lives that bear lasting fruit.
At Crossfire, women are invited not to minimize their influence or chase cultural ideals, but to step fully into God’s good design—trusting that what He has ordained leads to joy, purpose, and flourishing.
