Why Young Adults Matter to Us
At Crossfire, young adults are not an afterthought — they are a crucial and current priority. These years set the trajectory for the homes they will build, the marriages they will steward, and the children they will one day raise. When young men and women learn early to walk in God’s design, they lay the foundation for families marked by strength, joy, conviction, and stability.
We care deeply about young adults because we care about the future of families, the future of the church, and the future of our community. The choices made in these years shape generations

Forming Faithful Men & Women
Young men today are often told to be passive, distracted, or unsure. We want to raise up men who are strong in the Lord, grounded in Scripture, courageous in character — the kind of fathers who stay, who protect, who lead, and who build. Men like arrows in the hand of a warrior (Psalm 127): sharp, steady, and aimed with purpose.
Likewise, young women are often pressured to downplay their God-given femininity and undervalue the beauty of building a home. We want to form Proverbs 31 women — wise, joyful, industrious, nurturing, and strong in the fear of the Lord. Women who multiply love, multiply affection, and shape homes where faith and peace flourish.
These are not outdated ideals; they are biblical callings. And when a generation embraces them, families thrive.

Healing Baggage, Correcting Bad Philosophy
Many young adults come into church carrying unnecessary wounds from homes built on worldly ideas — fractured families, confused roles, relational instability, and spiritual drift. We see this pain, and we take it seriously.
Part of our ministry is correcting the bad philosophies that formed them.
Part of it is ministering to the hurt caused by those philosophies.
But the larger goal is setting a new, godly course — helping young adults walk forward with clarity, healing, and biblical wisdom.
God doesn't shame broken pasts. He redeems them.
He doesn't ignore pain. He speaks truth into it.
At Crossfire Church, we don’t want to leave people where they are. We want to help them become who God intended them to be.

Starting New Families the Right Way
One of our deepest commitments is helping young adults build homes that are free from the baggage so many of us carried. When young men and women begin their marriages with a biblical foundation — God’s design, God’s order, God’s wisdom — their children inherit something better:
clarity, stability, blessing, discipleship, and strength. It's the beginning of a godly heritage.
This is why we invest in young adults early. It’s easier to build a godly foundation at the beginning than to repair a broken one later. When young adults learn to do things God’s way from the start, their children grow up knowing nothing else — a gift that will echo for generations.

For the Sake of the Next Generation
Psalm 127 speaks of children as arrows in the hand of a warrior — precise, intentional, powerful. That kind of heritage starts long before children are born. It begins with young adults who learn early to build on the Rock, not shifting sand.
Our prayer is simple:
Young men and women in Slidell who will build their homes filled with faith, love, joy, and biblical conviction...
Parents who are genuine disciples of Christ, and train their boys to be men of strength, their girls to be women of wisdom.... Homes that shine as a testimony to the goodness of God.
